Fairbanks House

The Fairbanks house in Dedham, Massachusetts, built about 1636, is a typical example of the colonial architecture in that part of the United States. The high, pitched roof and overlapping weatherboards were functional, making use of the materials at hand. The well in front is made of river rocks.
